Rotary club members and their families are invited to join our inbound students, host families, outbound students, and their friends and families at the Estenson Event Center to recognize our outbounds and formally send them on their exchange year and also honor our inbounds on their "graduation" from Northfield. Dinner followed by a short program will include introductions and opportunities to support our outbounds as they go abroad this summer and our inbounds as they prepare to return to their home countries. |

Open Windows Books is a non-profit inspired by the metaphor of comparing children's books to windows and mirrors: mirrors of the child's own experience and windows into the lived experience of others in our multicultural and diverse world. The primary goal of Open Windows Books is to provide educators in Minnesota schools with high quality children's literature that accurately portrays the daily lives of children from diverse cultural backgrounds. In addition, we collaborate with local colleges and school districts to offer training to local educators on best strategies for classroom incorporation of the literature we provide. |

From experiences and adventures in my youth, my pathway to Northfield to crossing the Atlantic the first time and having the opportunity to meet many people across the globe. It was the Youth Exchange program not the black and white road that brings me here today. |
