A 17-year old from Farmington is the first to cross the finish line at the 25th Annual Northfield Rotary Turkey Trot.
Adam Johnson, 17, of Farmington was the first runner to cross the finish line at the 25th annual Northfield Rotary Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning. He finished in 16.59.1. Adam has been running in the Turkey Trot since third grade and was determined to 'win' it this year.
Shalaya Kipp, 35, of Rochester was the first female to finish. Her time was 17.19.1. Kipp was a four-time All-American and NCAA steeplechase champion representing the University of Colorado and competed in the 2012 Olympics in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Shalaya is the daughter of Russ and Shannon Gillette.
More than 1,350 people participated in the 25th annual event. Funds raised are invested in Rotary Youth Exchange, polio eradication and local and international projects. Many thanks to the sponsors who contributed to the event's success. We will return next year on November 26, 2026 for our 26th anniversary Turkey Trot event. Be there!
