Northfield Rotary Turkey Trot
Nov 24 2022!

Northfield Rotary has good news. Our 22nd annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot is on the calendar, and we want you to be one of the first to know about it.

This 5K run/walk has become Northfield’s unofficial homecoming, a “must-do” tradition that brings friends and neighbors together and reminds us that Northfield is always home. The Turkey Trot is also one of Rotary’s major fundraisers, which supports our youth exchange program, polio eradication and a number of local and international service projects.

To get this on your family calendar, just follow our registration link below. If you can’t be with us in person, consider our “free-range” option. You can still be with us in spirit and help underwrite our service projects.

Registration is available here.

Please note, if you wish to receive an official 2022 Turkey Trot shirt, you have to register by Friday, November 4

2022 Event Details

The Northfield Rotary Turkey Trot is Northfield’s unofficial homecoming for the 1000-plus runners and walkers who participate each year, a “must-do” for those who want to connect with old friends and neighbors and be reminded that Northfield is always home. Runners of all levels, walkers, parents with kids in strollers and dog owners walking their best friends are invited to join the fun.

The chip-timed 5K event begins at 9 a.m. sharp at the First UCC Church at 300 Union Street located one block west of our previous starting location, The Carleton College Weitz Center. Runners will be asked to enter on the South side for registration and bib/shirt pickup both the Wednesday evening before and starting at 8:00 am on Race Day. The race begins at 9:00 am.

The route weaves through Northfield’s northeast neighborhood, through the Northfield Golf Club’s course along Spring Creek Road and back to the First UCC Church along Prairie and Seventh streets. Awards will be given to the top male and female runners.

This year’s event will benefit several Rotary programs, including youth exchange, polio eradication, and a number of Northfield Rotary’s international projects. Rotary will also be collecting food for Northfield Food Shelf. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off the morning of the race or when you pick up your bibs and T-shirts.
