Todd's two cents

Todd Thompson,President

I hope you all had a safe and fun 4th of July! It was nice for me to see/hear fireworks again.

Thanks to Beth Kallestad for the environmental moment at last week’s meeting. We had an impressive number of our club members who had solar or wind power as part of their energy bouquet.

Thanks to our own Bruce Morlan and Richard DeBeau for their inspirational talk last week on Braver Angels. It gave me some good insights on the divide in our country and how we can start to bridge it.

Two big items in club organization this week.

  • Our next step in the Strategic Plan is the action plan. We are meeting July 14 to make it. Ideas/suggestions talk with me or Brad Frago.
  • The 2021-2022 Budget is being put together this month talk with me if you have requests and ideas.

There is a lot coming up in September, dates for your calendar

  • Four Way Taste – September 16
  • Bike Tour – September 25

New Members: Ben, Andrew, Eric, Lisa, and Sarah. Please reach out to them and make them feel welcome.

Finally, we are still looking for a few good people to fill some positions in our committees. Give me a call if you’re interested in an ongoing volunteer position.

Saludos, Todd
