Sharing Our Roots

An educational non-profit farm based in Southeast Minnesota, Sharing Our Roots (SOR) advances a resilient agriculture system that heals our lands, nourishes our communities and prepares aspiring farmers. SOR supports the business development of new and immigrant farmers, giving hands-on training, providing technical assistance and expanding land access opportunities. They also address food insecurity with minority and low-income families in our community.

Originally from Tijuana, Mexico, Rocky is a Northfield Raider (Class 2010) and TORCH alum, and has been part of the community for over 18 years. He's also a first generation college student with a bachelor's degree in wildlife management from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree in conservation biology from Antioch University New England. His connection to Northfield and interests in food justice and wildlife conservation on agricultural lands are some of the reasons he became Sharing Our Roots' new Executive Director. Hosted by Emily Fulton-Foley
