Turkey Trot Draws Over 500 Participants

The Northfield Rotary Club’s Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot drew over 500 participants this year, a new record. Proceeds from the 5k fun run/walk are earmarked as a donation to Rotary International’s PolioPlus program.

You don't have to look like a turkey to run in the Turkey Trot.

You don't have to look like a turkey to run in the Turkey Trot.The 2009 Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run/Walk will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009.

The event begins at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day at the Northfield Golf Club. Same day registration opens at 8 a.m. Each of the first 250 registrants will receive a commemorative long sleeve t-shirt. The cost is $12 prior to November 20 and $15 after that date. All proceeds benefit Rotary International’s polio eradication project.

Save The Date

Save the Date of February 20, 2010 for our Youth Exchange Fund-raiser “To Brazil and Back. ” The other event details are as follows: Cafe Rio food fair which begins at 5:30, followed by the musical and entertainment program that begins at 7:00 PM.

Rotary Social at the Grand, Oct. 23, 2009

Kudos to all who made possible the splendid social last Friday, the 23rd, at the Grand, featuring a lush hour of hors d’oevres, followed by the hit Blues band from Chicago. As you can see from these photos, a fine crowd was on hand with obvious merriment on their faces. And we thank Rick Estenson for forwarding these photos. Ed
