Turkey Trot 5K Run

Event Overview

The Northfield Rotary Club sponsors and hosts an annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day beginning at 9 am (registration begins at 8 am) at the Carleton College Weitz Center. Proceeds will benefit the Northfield Rotary Youth Exchange Program and other Rotary International service projects.

This year the race will be held on Thanksgiving, at the Carleton Weitz Center. Same day registration starts at 8:00AM, and the race will start at 9:00AM.

All those who pre-register by November 8th are guaranteed a free long sleeve t-shirt for this year’s event.

2 Event Options

Traditional Turkey Trot: Join 1,000 other friendly folks in person for the event. This is a traditional 5K through the streets of Northfield on Thanksgiving morning.

“Free Range” Turkey Trot: If you, your family members, or friends want to participate in the event, but won’t be in Northfield on Thanksgiving Day, then the “free range” event is for you. Register now, and we will send your shirt a week before the event (domestic shipping only; if you need it earlier to accommodate travel then contact us directly).  Then, on Thanksgiving, you will run/walk the event wherever in the world you choose. After the event, you will be able to upload a picture or video to the Northfield Rotary website.
