Last Meeting:

Mark Henke seems like a nice enough guy.  He’s the new President and CEO of Northfield Hospital & Clinics. He’s been on the job since April.

Mark grew up on Stewartville, Minn. and graduated from St. Olaf College. He received an MBA from Northern Illinois and worked in healthcare administration for 25 years. He spent 20 years in the Mayo Clinic system and most recently served as CEO of a hospital in Luverne, Minn.

Mark and he and his wife, Joyce, have five children. One is married, one is in college at Augustana in Sioux Falls and three are at home, a ninth grader, a seventh grader and a fifth grader.

Here are some Henke fun facts:

  • He’s not pandering. He really loves Malt-O-Meal.
  • Favorite movies: “The Sting,” “The Great Escape” and breakout the lederhosen, “The Sound of Music.”
  • This past summer he golfed with Bernhard Langer.
