Last Meeting:

Ingrid Sampo is one of those rare individuals who have no problem asking people for money. In fact, she told us last week that she enjoys it.  She invites people to discover the joy of giving to others.

She became a fundraiser quite by accident. After graduating from Concordia College, Moorhead , she worked in the field of communications. At her job, her duties were expanded to include fundraising and she never turned back. She now serves as vice president of Fund Development for Northfield Retirement Community.

Ingrid grew up in Henning, Minn. She describes her childhood as a Lake Wobegonesque experience. Her mother was an English teacher; her father was an insurance agent/realtor and a writer, who nurtured Ingrid’s imagination and storytelling with his epic bedtime dramas. Ingrid is now also a writer. She has had seven short stories published and has penned two novels. Ingrid also has a musical background and once served as Henning Harvest Festival Princess.

Guests: Bruce Colville (Young), Roberto Zayas (Rich)

Scholarship Enhancement: A mystified Mark Abbott
