Today’s Program: War Kids Relief and “A Soldier’s March for Peace,” Dina Fesler, Gunnar Swanson (Reese)

Birthdays: Rotarians around the world!

Next Week: GSE team from India (Dilley)

Last Week:

Steve “Mad Dog” Ryan, founder and co-owner of Mad Dog Paint Products, turns out is kind of a renaissance guy. Besides being an inventor and entrepreneur, this New England transplant has deep knowledge and a passionate interest in a number of avocations, including music, photography, gardening and travel.

Steve was greatly influenced by his grandfather. His love for engineering, carpentry, painting and all things requiring general repair rubbed off on Steve, who lived next door to him during his early years. His family moved to Minnesota in 1981 when Steve was 14. He was active in Edina High School activities and then earned an English degree from Texas Christian University, paid for by moonlit painting jobs.

Steve moved to Northfield in 1994 and five years ago started Mad Dog. He is married to Sue Ryan and they have two kids, Hattie, a senior and soon to be an outbound exchange student, and Chase, a junior in high school, who already has the travel bug.

Guests: Ross Thompson (Weber)

Scholarship Enhancement: John Stull. The assist goes to Neil Lutsky.

April 16 is the deadline for nominations of club members deserving of this year’s Marston Headley Service Above Self Award. Please contact John Stull, Peggy Prowe or Charlie Cogan.

The Bike Tour Committee is looking for new members to participate this year learning the ropes to eventually assume some of the sub-committee leadership positions needed for this important club fund raising activity. Please contact Gary Bollinger.
